After 244 years reference book firm Encyclopaedia Britannica has decided to stop publishing its famous and weighty 32-volume print edition.

A monument disappears. The Encyclopaedia Britannica was arguably the best and the most reliable encyclopedia in the world.
Many people, including myself, dreamed of owning one. But I never decided to invest in one. When I was younger I had no money to spend on it. And while I grew older all paper encyclopedias were gliding away in quasi irrelevance.
