Now that I have digital TV, I have tried to look at "2001, A Space Odyssey", which is considered by some to be one of the best films ever made. It was made in 1969.
I haven't been able to finish the screening : after a couple of minutes, I had enough already. "Cult" at its worst !
As far as I'm concerned, the film takes first rank among the utterly boring, completely dated and pretentious productions I have ever seen (or, in my case, not seen - I just couldn't take it for longer than a couple of minutes at a time).
The only part of the film I enjoyed was the music : Also sprach Zarathustra and The Blue Danube.
I prefer a third rate western any time !
