Mormons

As a passionate amateur genealogist I owe a great lot to the Mormons, who have invested fortunes in making data easily available to the public on a worldwide basis.

The reason they consented these investments is the possibility to have one's ancestors baptized posthumously. But sometimes the results of this missionary endeavour appear rather ridiculous or politically very, very  incorrect :

"Anne Frank, the Jewish girl whose diary and death in a Nazi concentration camp made her a symbol of the Holocaust, was allegedly baptized posthumously Saturday by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to whistleblower Helen Radkey, a former member of the church."
