Silver lining

I see but one small spot of possible comfort in Europe's terrible financial situation. But is it very small indeed, it is miniscule.

Never before have I seen such near unanimity in the media and among experts about the fate of the euro : almost all agree that it is collapsing very rapidly ; many are thinking that it is a question of days or weeks. And for once, I agree with this large majority.

But that near unanimity is my silver lining to the pitch black storm clouds : when almost everyone agrees on something, the probability of that thing happening may be falling.

Yes, I am clutching at straws ...
